What's the safest way to shop on the internet
So
what' the safest way to shop on the internet?
Apparently there is no full proof system. However some modes of paying for goods online.
While many people do shop online there are still millions of people who do not prefer internet shopping.
One of the reasons many people avoid buying on the internet is to safeguard their identity and credit cards.
Many payment facilitating companies realize this and in order to get your business offer guaranties against misuse of your data. You just need to do some homework to find the best websites to shop on and how to pay for your purchases.
Presently, in my humble opinion PayPal and Google Checkout are the two more common ones that people have heard of and use.
PayPal has been around for quite some time while Google Checkout is relatively new. Check these two payment methods as well as some others available and use the one you feel most comfortable with.
Without trying to influence anyone I would like to say that I personally prefer using Google checkout when making purchases online. Let me say clearly that I don't work for Google. The reasoning behind my choice of using Google checkout is simple.
1. When shopping with Google checkout you do not have to give the company who you are buying a product from any information regarding yourself. Google deals with them. Google actually keeps your credit card information on file. The seller does not get this information. All he is told is the name and address where to send the merchandise and for this payment is made by Google checkout on your behalf.
2. There is no need to fill out your credit card every you use Google checkout. Once you have filled out the information on Goggles secure site your done.
3. An email is sent to you by Google as soon as you make a purchase giving details of the purchase.
4. You can also track your order using Google checkout.
5. In case of fraud you have protection from Google.
6. There is apparently no need to worry about the company receiving your credit card information being legitimate. You give your credit card information only to Google and as far as I am concerned Google is a reputable company with assets worth probably billions of dollars and I'm sure one that values their reputation.
Of course Google checkout is my personal choice, you may have other choices and feel comfortable using those companies. In such cases stick to the companies you are comfortable with.
